The National Park of Nagarhole is located in the beautiful districts of Mysore and Kodagu of the state of Karnataka in the Southern India. The word Nagarhole is actually made up of two words namely Hole and Nagar which means streams and snake respectively. So, you can find different varieties of snakes in the tropical forests of this region. The key features of Nagarhole National Park are swamps, lush green vegetation, rich fauna resources and a number of water bodies. The tourists also enjoy the chirruping of the 250 species of birds found in the Nagarhole National Park. One can find Bulbul, bee-eater, peacock,dove, southern tree pie, crested hawk, peacock, Malabar pied, great Indian reed, Alexandrine, common babbler, Hornbill, warbler, crested serpent and eagle here.
